How to index pictures by keyword on your iPhone or iPad? Using the Notes application. Explanations.
It's probably already happened you find a picture in the film (or camera roll) from your iPhone or iPad. When it has only a few dozen it is still possible, but it becomes very difficult with hundreds or thousands of photos.
Then of course iOS lets you create albums to categorize your photos there, but it still concerns thematic group shots (my holidays in Palavas my last drunk at the graduation), and you can not name or rename photos individually. There are also applications to classify and index almost all types of documents such as Evernote.
But sometimes you need to index a photo, a quick scan of the document, a photo of a door code received by mail or another to be sure to find it for sure, and a click a glance. Sometimes we just want to quickly find the image of a moment of a loved one.
For this I use a little-known feature of iOS, arrived with the latest version iOS 8: the possibility of integrating a photograph in a note from the Notes application. No need to install anything: if you want to index a picture, you just start Notes, create a new note and in note to enter a word or a short text corresponding to what you want to index, normally the content of the photo.
Then you perform a long press any-where on the screen, and in the small menu that opens, you click "Insert image". From there, you choose the desired picture, and you save your rating.
It is then indexed in your notes. To find it simply launch Notes and type a word of note, to access it directly. I personally use this trick of my own (but I am certainly not the only one to have thought) to classify some documents I want quick access and I "scanned" by taking their picture, GDI and Kbis other.
