Specialist flat screens and manufacturer itself its own slabs , the South Korean manufacturer LG has unveiled an OLED screen using prototype and measuring just 0.97mm thick!
In the field of television and more generally flat screens technologies are reduced to a trickle seen the recent abandonment of Plasma, and a few companies, the OLED. However, LG seems to continue to believe in this OLED technology and is also one of the few to offer commercialized TV models. These already offer niceties of only 4.3 millimeters which is already very impressive. However, the manufacturer LG Display, a subsidiary of the group and slabs provider, do not stop there and just introduced a prototype screen of 0.97mm thickness.
The screen measures 55 inches diagonally. It weighs 1.9Kg. The screen is quite flexible and resistant in order to hang on to a wall as a poster including through a magnetic plate at the rear of the panel.
LG Display has on marketing 1,500,000 units of OLED displays for the year 2016.
