Google has something to protect you against phishing

In order not to be deceived by false login pages, you'd better download this Chrome extension.

What is phishing?

As per definition by Wikipedia, "The technique involves the victim believe it is addressed to a trusted third party - banking, administration, etc. - To obtain personal information: password, credit card number, date of birth, etc."

So now you know that its a very common type of attack, and some large institutions have already been victims of this. Google is now offering its users who are on the Chrome browser, the extension that alerts when a password is about to be stolen.

The working of this extension is simple: it will record a "secure print" your password and analyzing HTML code pages that you browse. If you ever enter the password for your Google account other than on the login pages of the Mountain View company, you'll receive an alert.

Download it from here. And since a Google account sometimes can control many things, including accounts on other services that use the login and Google+ as Android smartphones, it is recommended to use this extension.
