Qualcomm goes into high gear!

According to the manufacturer, compared to the previous version, Quick Charge 3.0, the new technology will speed up 20% load time, in addition to reducing the heating by 5° C.

And to give a better idea of what is capable Quick Charge 4, Qualcomm explains that 5-minute charge smartphones with this new technology will have 5 hours of battery. Quick Charge will also 4 on most smartphones to go from 0% battery to 50% in the space of just 15 minutes.

The press Qualcomm falls just days after Google released new recommendations for the management of Android smartphones. The Mountain View firm asks manufacturers to follow the "USB-PD" specification to make them safer devices (and avoid problems like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7).

Previous versions of Quick Charge do not follow this specification. Therefore, it was thought that the fast charging technology by qualcomm was out as for new recommendation for Android smartphones by Google.

But normally Quick Charge 4 should not have to worry with these new recommendations because in its statement, Qualcomm explains that this new version follows the specifications of the USB Type-C as well as USB-PD.
